Climate and Clothing

The weather on September in Jeju island is warm and mild with temperatures around 19-25°C. It rains occasionally and we advise you to bring a warm overcoat and an umbrella, just in case.

Coffee breaks and Meals

Coffee breaks and Meals will be offered to all registered participants. Coffee will be served in the foyer outside the lecture hall of Lotte Hotel Jeju. Lunch and dinner coupons will be provided during the registration.

Internet Access

Wireless internet access is available in the conference center and public areas.

Passport and Visas

Visa-Free Entry to Jeju Island

  • Nationals of visa waiver countries can enter Korea without a visa as long as the purpose of their visit is tourism or temporary visit. Find 103 countries (as of March, 2016) under Visa waiver agreement with Korea at
  • With the exception of the countries listed below that are not eligible for visa-free entry, most foreign nationals arriving at Jeju International Airport or passenger terminals for the purpose of tourism or transfer are eligible for visa-free entry (30 days). Allowed region and range of activity are limited to Jeju island and you must arrive into Jeju with direct routes (e.g. Hongkong to Jeju) without traveling through Korea.
    * Countries NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Jeju (11 countries) : Ghana, Nigeria, Libya, Macedonia, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Palestine


Please bring electrical adaptors for any electrical appliances you bring.
The electricity supply in Korea is 220V.

Force Majeure

In the event of the entire conference having to be cancelled due to force majeure, the organizer cannot accept liability for any claims for damages and/or losses.


The organizers cannot accept any liability for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the conference participants or by any persons accompanying them, both during the official activities and the excursions. The participants in all tours and events have to act on his/her own responsibility.


The conference fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organizers recommend that delegates take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit.

Letter of Invitation

If you require an invitation letter in order to attend the Conference, please contact tRNA2016 secretariat (; +82-2-880-8180). This is for assisting participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Conference and should not be considered as an official invitation covering fees or other expenses.
